On Friday, I went to the lake to do some work. It was a hot day in the high 80's but the afternoon was the earliest I could get there. My utility trailer was stored in the boat shed and I had been trying to find time to do some house cleaning of junk in the boat shed that was left over from the previous owner. (his treaures) The rain started up just as I finished and had everything tied down on the trailer. I can't explain the relaxed feeling of taking a shower and kicking back at the lake. Makes you want to not come home. But I did.

Then on Saturday I went back to fish and spend the night. Since Sunday was Mother's Day I knew that I had to be back early so I was up and on the water at daybreak. It was hot and humid on Saturday night and not as pleasant to be outside. I put the boat in the water before dark and fished for a short trip but mostly sat on the dock with redworms and a bobber.
At sun up I was on the water with Gunther and a pot of coffee. I did not have much luck fishing and stopped early to clean up inside the trailer. The only catches were while trolling with a Roostertail lure.

This is a picture of a distant neighbor named George. He lives off of the lake but keeps at boat on Howard's dock. He knows how to enjoy a Sunday morning with three lines out and not worrying about a thing.
